GT Pharma/Food Supplement organises technical customer seminar at the University of Erlangen – Chair for Pharmaceutical Engineering

Under the motto "SOLID DOSAGE FORMS 2.0 - FROM IDEA TO FINISHED PRODUCT"; GT Pharma/Food Supplement organised a technical customer seminar focusing on innovative solid drug dosage forms on 17 September 2013.

With more than 40 participants from the pharmaceutical and food supplement industries, the seminar boasted a very high attendance. With the support of the University of Erlangen, Chair for Pharmaceutical Engineering, whose facilities and laboratory equipment were used and in co-operation with SPI PHARMA, renowned speakers from science and the business community presented innovative raw material and mechanical concepts for the production of modern dosage forms in pharma and food supplements.

The opening speech was held by Professor Dr Lee (Head of the Institute), whilst Mr Wassmann, Technical Distribution, Lehmann&Voss&Co, presented the event.

After the theoretical part during the morning and a rustic Franconian buffet lunch, the practical part was carried out in small groups of 5 - 6 participants at five different locations in the laboratory of the Institute.

This mix of theory and practice was highly appreciated by the participants and provided the event with a dynamic setting. At the same time this form supported a proactive exchange of views with and between the participants.
